Ode to a Vaccine

Oh holiest of all medicinals,

my feeble God given natural immunity

is a mere genetic mistake

(and testimony to the fallibility

of our divine Creator)

which palls into wretched insignificance

when compared to your miraculous

restorative powers of healing,

a function bestowed upon you

with grace, by an army

of selfless medical researchers

and philanthropic benefactors,

motivated only by a common

holy purpose,

indeed a never ending Crusade,

to banish disease and suffering

from our world

for now and forever more.

Oh, holiest of all medicinals,

I bow to you

I submit my body to you

I give my life,

my possessions,

all my worldly goods,

my children, my wife(s)

to you.

I criticise you not,

Neither do I dare question you,

for thou art the holiest,

the very, very holiest

of all medicinals

and your name is hallowed

and your miraculous

works be known to all

for now and forever more.

Oh holiest of all medicinals

the Gates of heaven open

when your very name is uttered

and bestows great riches & privilege

upon all who nourish the efforts

to promote your marvellous efficacy

and prophylactic healing powers.

The Foundational wisdom and power

of the Almighty

invested in the Gates of heaven

knows no worldly boundaries

or constraints, nor does it responds to,

or be subordinated or regulated by

any earthly authority,

for it is, unquestionably

THE Supreme Authority,

carrying a wisdom above

anything a mere mortal can comprehend.

Therefore let us bow before

The heavenly Gates

for now and forever more.

Oh holiest of all medicinals,

thou art the holiest of holies.

Thy praise shall be sung

by religious leaders of all denominations

of the Christian faith.

For the only way,

the righteous path,

and the sure guarantee

of a place in heaven,

and everlasting salvation,

is to submit joyfully

to the piercing needle of faith,

just as our Lord Jesus Christ

did and died for thee.

Emulate the ways of Jesus,

safe in the knowledge

that the most ethical experts

of transgenetic medicine

have partnered with the church

in a holy mission, caring only

for your health & safety

and eternal life

and a flourishing of the

select chosen few,

the vaccine hero pioneers.

DO NOT err in your duty of faith

DO NOT follow the misguided ways

of the anti-vaxxer,

for therein lies temptation of the devil

and eternal damnation

in the fires of hell

for now and forever more.

Oh holiest of all medicinals

who art in heaven

hallowed m-RNA be thy name

Thou art the chosen one

and the Pfirst in a series of holy medicinals

which will be

the salvation of all of humanity,

while all other forerunners,

feeble in their sterilisation technology

pale into ineffectiveness

compared to your magical

life changing properties.

Let us all join together

all seven billion of us

to take and eat your body

and with joy in our hearts

imbibe your lipids

and so be united

by an invisible network

to safely protect us

via the all seeing watchful eye

of the great new biomedical loving God

for now and forever more.
